You don’t ever want to worry again about your payment card not having a sufficient balance? Then our auto top-up feature might be the perfect solution! If your balance is running low and reaching the threshold you defined, we will automatically top up your payment card with the amount you chose. Every time you pay with Stocard, we will check your balance afterwards in order to check whether your balance is still above the defined threshold.
How to enable auto top-up:
- Go to “Card Settings” (the three dots next to your Stocard payment card) and click on “Auto top-up”.
- Next, choose the balance which should trigger an auto top-up and the amount you wish to be loaded to your payment card.
- Choose the funding card, which you wish to use for the automatic top-ups.
- After selecting “Enable” we will inform your bank that you configured auto top-up in Stocard. In some cases, you will see the authentication page from your bank and have to authenticate that it is really you who is using your funding card.
- If everything has been authenticated, you’re all set and never have to worry again about your Stocard payment card balance.
Some things to keep in mind:
The same limits will apply as for regular top-ups: What is the maximum amount I can top up and spend?
If you didn’t verify your identity yet, we strongly recommend that you do so in order to provide higher limits to you: How do I verify my identity?
If you choose a threshold for your balance, which is lower than the amount we should automatically top up, it may happen that your balance is still below your set threshold after the first auto top-up has been triggered. The next auto top-up will be then triggered after your next spending transaction. Therefore we strongly recommend choosing an auto top-up amount higher than your threshold.
